THE EMPOWERED KITCHEN TO CELEBRATE
GRADUATION OF SECOND CLASS AT MAKERS’ MARKET

Jacksonville, Fla., May 1 and 2, 2021 – The Empowered Kitchen, a non-profit designed to empower and train women for financial independence through careers in the food industry, will celebrate the graduation of its second class when Yvette Corbitt of Sweet Soul Catering will have completed the six-month course requirements.

Corbitt has successfully finished the program which is

• one-third general business including how to write a business plan,
• one-third specific culinary business such as how to run a catering business, food truck business, bakery or restaurant customized to the particular student’s goals
• one-third sales and marketing for the business.

She will be at the Makers’ Market selling her cakes, cookies and special “flights” featuring three slices of different flavors of cakes packaged together.

Also, at the Makers’ Market will be the Empowered Kitchen food truck with an all-new wrap featuring new, colorful graphics. The truck will be selling their well-known delicious grilled cheese sandwiches with bechamel sauce and sides.

The Makers’ Market at The Glass Factory, 601 Myrtle Avenue North is on May 1 and 2 from 11 am to 5 pm in Jacksonville. Tickets are required.
