FleetCon 2026, the 15th Annual Fleet DJs Music Conference, brought together influential DJs, filmmakers, artists, broadcasters, podcasters, entrepreneurs and entertainment professionals from across the country and the surrounding Duval corridors to Jacksonville. Hosted by Fleet DJs CEO Klassik and Director of Media Relations Tiea Whitaker, the conference featured the ‘Producers & Writers Bootcamp,’ artist listening sessions, live showcases, networking events and industry panels covering music, film, radio, podcasting and entrepreneurship. Signature events included the Black Ice & Blue Lights Adult Prom and the annual Backpack Giveaway, providing local students with school supplies ahead of the new school year. Jacksonville native Jamar Breaker, known professionally as ‘Breaka,’ was one of the conference’s breakout artists. The Stanton College Preparatory School graduate energized audiences during the DJ Cook Up Festival with music from his latest album, Theme Musical, highlighting Jacksonville’s growing influence in the music industry. “FleetCon 2026 fostered meaningful connections, professional development, and collaboration across the music and entertainment industries,” said Dr. Rhonda Marie, CEO of I AM, who traveled from Shreveport, Louisiana, to participate as a featured panelist during Saturday’s conference programming.
Valerie Denise Jones, founder of BIG Media, served as a featured guest, moderator of multiple panel discussions and assisted with conference speaker appearances while bringing together respected voices from Jacksonville’s creative community. Featured speakers and participants included Adam Madrid of the Jacksonville Film Office, Monique Madrid, founder and CEO of the LOL JAX Film Festival, Cydney Wright of News4JAX and Billy Covington of the legendary R&B group Hi-Five, best known for the platinum-selling hit “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game).” Shown is Breaka on stage showcasing his music at FleetCon 2026.
Rumor has it that FleetCon may return to Jacksonville next year, a prospect welcomed by many attendees and local supporters. Beyond showcasing talent from across the country, the conference generated activity for local businesses, including the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, restaurants, shops, and surrounding downtown establishments. With its vibrant arts community, scenic riverfront, and warm hospitality, Jacksonville continues to prove itself as an outstanding destination for national conferences and entertainment events.
